Day 01

Negombo  (01 night)

As you arrive to Sri Lanka, one of our representative will be there to warmly welcome you to the Island and transfer you to the hotel in Negombo, which takes about 15 minutes drive from the airport.

Negombo

   

A characteristic fishing town situated to the north of Colombo and is a mere 15 km from the international airport. Old - world fishing craft, like the outrigger canoe and the catamaran, bring seer, skipjack, herring, mullet, pomfret and amber jack, while lobster and prawn are caught in the lagoon.

Day 02

Kandy  (01 night) 

   

Approximate 2 hour drive from your hotel to elephant orphanage and another 1 hour drive  to your hotel. 

Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage

The Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage established in 1975, commenced with seven orphans. Today some of these orphans enjoy the fortune of seeing their grandchildren born in the same location. Success story of Pinnawela has drawn the attention of scientists from all over the world. The members of the Pinnawela herd have been filmed, videoed and photographed thousands of times by professionals.

Temple of the Tooth Relic

The focal point of the town is the golden-roofed 'Dalada Maligawa', where the sacred tooth relic of the Buddha is enshrined. There are numerous shrines and temples in and around Kandy, where you will see rare paintings, frescoes, and stone carvings.

 Cultural Dance Show

These classical dance forms are associated with the performance of various rituals and ceremonies which are centuries old and are based on the folk religion and folk beliefs going back to times before the advent and acceptance of Buddhism by the Sinhalese people in the third century B.C.

Day 03

Nuwara Eliya (01 night)

   

Peradeniya Botanical Garden

After breakfast at the hotel visit The Royal Botanic Gardens at  ‘Peradeniya’ where you could treat your eyes to an amazing, wide and rare collection of tropical and temperate, exotic and indigenous flora, and an orchid house with the largest collection in Asia.

Leisurely take a scenic drive to Nuwara Eliya, (2 to 2.5 hour drive), with stops for photo opportunity on clients requests. Visit a tea plantation en route.

Nuwara Eliya is set in the heart of tea-country is a beautiful town where the British succeeded in creating a replica of the English countryside, with homes in styles from Georgian to Queen Anne. Well-kept lawns with hedges, an Anglican church, a famous golf course and beautiful parks give the place an air of nostalgia. Situated 6,200 feet above sea level, the air is cool and fresh – a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city life.Pony and Horse riding is available at the turf club of Nuwara Eliya to facilitate you with some sports and adventure..

Seetha Amman Temple

It’s said to mark the spot where Sita was held captive by the demon king Rawana, and where she prayed daily for Rama to come and rescue her. On the rock face across the stream are circular depressions said to be the footprints of Rawana’s elephant. Tamil wedding parties make it a point to stop here for pujas....

Day 04

Hatton (01 night)

Sri Pada

   

Approximate 1.5 hours drive to Hatton, relax at the hotel, safe your energy for the climb of Adam’s Peak.

The sanctification of 'Sri Pada' as a tryst of homage by the four dominant faiths in Sri Lanka - Buddhist, Hindu, Islam and Christian - is steeped in mystery, myth, legend, and also oral and chronicled history.  

The climb takes 4 to 5 hours, depending on your capacity to climb, you should start the climb in the night to see the beautiful sunrise.

Day 05

Tissamaharama  (01 night)

   

Start your journey to see the gentle giants and leopards in Yala, the journey will take approximate 3 to 3.5 hours to reach Tissa. Ideal time to spot a lot of animals is evening safaris.

Yala National Park

The elephant is undoubtedly the best known attraction at Yala, seen in small & large herds. Herds of spotted deer are seen all over the park. Monkeys the pinkish rhesus and the grey faced Langur monkey, live and play on the tree tops and the ground.

Day 06 07 08

Passikudah (03 nights)

   

Approximate 5 hour drive to enjoy Golden beaches in the east coast . Passikudah, one small coastal village situated in the east of Sri Lanka about 35km from Batticaloa. It is famous for its golden bay and clear, shallow waters in which you can wade 50m out to sea. It is a virgin beach and renowned throughout the country for its beauty. From here you can visit Batticaloa, which is home to a historic Dutch Fort and a lagoon that reportedly has singing fish in it. If you are a keen diver, then there are some excellent diving spots, including the wreck of the HMS Hermes, a WW2 British naval ship. You can also enjoy exploring the Maduru Oya National Park where you have a good chance of seeing elephants as well as Hindu temples and the ancient city of Polonnaruwa.

Day 09 10 11

Trincomalee (03 nights)

   

On this day, you will get a chance to see some of the golden sandy beaches for about 2.5 hours. Trinco as it is commonly called, has been a sea port since the days of the ancient Kings and one of the British Empire's most important ports in Asia during the second world war. From 1941-45, Trinco had been the headquarters of Lord Louis Mountbatten Allied Southeast Asia commander. Also Trinco is a natural deep water harbor that attracted great sea farers like Marco Polo, Ptolemy and sea traders from East Asia from ancient times.

 You will be spending another 3 nights in Trincomalee, and enjoy the facilities at the Jungle Beach on HB basis.

Day 12

Sigiriya (02 nights)

  

We will be taking you on a 2 hour drive to see the cultural sights in Sigiriya.

Sigiriya Rock Fortress which is known as the 8th wonder of the world. This rock fortress was built by King Kasyapa in the 5th century A.D. and was a royal citadel for more than 18 years.

Dambulla Temple Caves

Dambulla is a world heritage site and is the most impressive of Sri Lanka’s cave temples. The complex of five caves with over 2000 sq. meters of painted walls and ceiling found here are over 2000 years old and is the largest area of painting found in the world.

Jeep Safari in Minneriya National Park

The park consists of mixed evergreen forest and scrub areas and is home to Sri Lanka's favorites such as Sambar Deer, Leopards and Elephants. However the central feature of the park is the ancient Minneriya Tank

Village Experience, Habarana / Sigiriya

The village experience begins with a ride on a bullock cart, once famous mode of transport of royalty. Through lush greenery and wilderness next you will be canoeing in a reservoir. A visit to a house in the village, to experience the authentic rural life of Sri Lanka, to taste home cooked traditional food, for no extra charge. The village tour ends by a tuk tuk ride brining you to the world of modernization.

Later you will be staying at the hotel for another 2 nights in Ulagalla on HB basis

Day 13

Colombo

   

The Independence Square, is also must see location, which today has become a major tourist attraction due to its historical significance and extra ordinary work of architecture. You will visit and see the Old Parliament of Sri Lanka and the gorgeous Galle Face green facing the beautiful Indian Ocean.

Also you would be given the opportunity to shop at the one of the famous department stores and malls in Colombo where you would finds brands such as Marks and Spencer, Victoria’s Secret, GAP ect.. at bargain prices and enjoy a leisurely shopping. 

Day 14
